the soy and dairy diaries...
Still going strong on the diet.
My favorite things I've eaten lately are :
  • Angel Hair pasta w/ artichokes, capers, roma tomatoes, chicken, olive oil, garlic.
  • Sliced sweet potatoes with olive oil drizzled over and salt and pepper baked until a little crispy. yum.
Things I'm craving that I miss:
  • pizza. Not just for taste, but for the ease of it.
  • cake. I have to stop watching the Ace of Cakes, great show, but makes me want to eat cake waaaayyy to much.
to be fussy or not to be...
Norah has been doing much better overall. She has had some really great days where the only time she cries is just when she is getting tired and a bit in the evening. For some reason, since her shots, Ryan had been having a hard time calming her down if she got really upset. However, last night some other moms & friends and I went out for a girls evening, and Ryan watched her and she (and he) did great! This is the first time Ryan has really had to do it all;bathe her, get her dressed for bed, feed her, rock her, put her down, the whole routine...and he did great! It was such a blessing to get to spend some time with my girlfriends out of the house.

reflux?..
We have been slowly tapering Norah off of her Ranitidine (reflux medicine) over the past week. She should be off it in a couple of days completely. So far I don't think there has been a change in her behavior, so hopefully this means we can get her off of it entirely for good!

milestones..
Norah is becoming so much more mobile these days. She was on her tummy playing on her play gym thing and I went to throw a load of laundry in, and I came back and she had moved 2 feet and was on her back! I have no idea how she got over there, it must have been a series of rolls. She has been rolling over like crazy, tummy to back, back to tummy, and back. She gets this really cute look of being proud of herself every time she does it!

She is also starting to scoot herself. She seems to go backwards easier than forwards, but at least she's moving.

Norah hasn't quite mastered sitting yet. We are working on it, but she's still pretty wobbly. She is getting close to learning how to stick out her arm to prop herself up. But as of now, she's just sitting up on my lap or ryan's lap and on the boppy.

Laughing. She has been laughing a bunch more these days, her laugh is adorable. The most recent spells were 1. with Brady holding her facing me and me backing up and then running towards her - she thought this was hilarious. 2. Ryan (of course) was making goofy faces at her last night and she couldn't stop giggling. I am trying to figure out how to post the video we took of this, so hopefully my next post will include that!
