the loooong vacation.

It's been a while since I updated the blog, mainly because I've still been recuperating from our 12 day vacations..... We started out by driving to Denver a couple of weeks ago for our friends' wedding (Joey and Devyn)

So we were in Denver Thursday - Sunday.

Then Sunday, we flew to San Francisco to see Ryan's brother Jason. Norah was so excited to go on an airplane and see Uncle Jason. Everytime we told her we were going on an airplane to California, she would get this really cute look and say ooooohhh.

So we spent Sunday - Thursday in San Francisco and San Jose/Palo Alto area.

We stayed on Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. It was absolutely beautiful!

This night, we went to dinner at a fancy and fabulous seafood restaurant in Ghiradelli Square (right near the wharf). Norah happened to think Uncle Jason was the funniest guy EVER.

We also spent a day downtown. We saw Chinatown and Union Square.

By the end of the downtown day, Norah was beat, she slept the whole way back to our hotel on the cable car. I loved every minute of snuggling with my sweet sleeping baby girl.
This is a fountain near the Wharf. Norah loved this, but not as much as she loved the Seagulls and the Pigeons. She followed them everywhere!
It was a bit windy. :)

These are the seals that come out to the docks everyday this time of year on the wharf. There are tons of them.

The Golden Gate Bridge, so cool to see in person.

This is the famous Lombard Street. The windiest, steepest, most adorable road around.
(and there were a lot of steps, so Norah loved that of course :)

It was a great experience! I was so impressed with Norah. She did so good on the plane, and the whole trip for the most part. :)

After we flew back into Denver late Thursday night, we stayed at the Gruwell's again, and then packed up....again, and drove to GJ, where we did one load of laundry, looked at our kitchen remodel in progress, and jumped back in the car. We went to Fruita, dropped Norah off to stay with Grammy and Papa for 2 nights (a first! ) and Ryan and I went to Moab. Ryan's company brought us all there, we stayed at the beeeeautiful Sorrel River Ranch .

Then Saturday Ryan went Skydiving!! (which you can watch if you click HERE!)

Safe and Sound and back on the ground!!!

Then Sunday we drove back home - finally!

It was a great trip, a little long for my liking. But we were so thankful to get to see Jason, and San Francisco, and bring Norah on her first airplane ride, and to see our good friends get married - finally ;) and to have Ryan get to experience Skydiving, and to enjoy time with our great family and friends.
