Evelynn
Miss Evy is quickly approaching 2, holy moly when did that happen?! She is at one of my absolute favorite ages.
Right now Evy is....
SAYING so many things! Can't believe how fast this stage is going by. Some of our favorites right now are:
Sssssnack (with the wrinkliest nose you've ever seen, and a bit nasal-y)
Ssssnuggle (again, wrinkly & nasaly and adorable)
Nuh Nuh (aka Norah),
Mommy, Daddy, Holdee (Hold Me),
copul (Careful),
port (support, as in Norah "support" me down the stairs),
selp (do it my "self"),
jaff (giraffe),
Pandee (her name for her Panda bear she adores),
fend ("friend, usually referring to Norah).
This girl knows everything we are talking about, and says everything she thinks. It's been such a blessing to get to watch her learn!
EATING not much. Picky Picky Picky. Ev isn't a big fan of much in the way of food...unless its bread or sugar, then she's set! I've tried everything, and she continues to improve, but we've basically cut out carbs lately from the whole family's diet to try and encourage more foods :/
SLEEPING in!!! Ev has finally started sleeping past 6 the last couple of weeks, she's even been pushing 7:30! Yay!! Ryan and I have big plans for that hour, with reading/coffee time and working out, we'll see if we can do it!
LOVING to play outside, specifically anything where she can pour water from one cup to another, will entertain her forever :) She has also started liking to watch cartoons (a toon) in her language. Which is nice if I need to take a shower or answer some business calls!
ANTICIPATING music class. Evy is doing music class starting in a couple of weeks and it will truly be the first thing she's done without Norah. I think she'll love it and I'm so excited to get to spend some one on one time with her while Norah is in Preschool.
Norah Grace
Norah is 4, again....what? I feel like she was born yesterday :/ Norah is....
SAYING the funniest things. I also love this stage because of the stories this kid comes up with. She is so funny, and creative, and absolutely a joy to talk to. She is still hard to understand for a lot people, and we are getting a little concerned, specifically with F's, B's, R's and L's. She just seems to have formed horrible habits in not saying them correctly, and now we are having a very hard time fixing it. We are eager to see what her preschool teacher thinks, and see if we should get some speech therapy advice.
EATING lots! She loves food, she is a great eater most of the time, loves lots of vegetables, turkey sandwiches, fruit, pepperoni pizza, and on and on!
LOVING to love on her sister, she hugs her all the time. She also loves to teach Evy things and show Evy things. She is a great big sister. She also loves to play outside, she is still an amazing pretender. With her imagination, sticks become people and the deck is their world, and the hose is a slide and the chairs are the house and she will just pretend alone and be content as can be. It's so fun watching her little imagination work!
ANTICIPATING preschool! She started preschool on Monday! She gets to go 3 days/week, for 3 hours each day. She is going to a school up the street at a methodist church. She knows a few of the kids in her class, and is so eager about it! I am excited for her too, but also a little sad she'll be gone 3 mornings/week and nervous to see how she does.
Ryan and I are saying: We are thankful for all the work, but wedding season hurry up and end!
We are loving our kiddos and have loved this busy but fun fun fun summer! Here are a few photos from the past few months....From Vegas, to Glenwood, to Tahoe, to Denver, to Texas, to Redstone and in a couple of days, to Ouray. We've met Mike Tyson, got my parents a puppy, Ev had her first haircut by Aunt Lynnie, Nor turned 4, walked to the lake a few times, learned to paddleboard, rode jet skis, made sandcastles, played at the splashpad, bump and jumped, ate lots of popsicles, played with lots of friends, and Nor started preschool! It's been wonder-full!

See you soon! I'm going to try and update more often!
