So, Let's just get right to it, I've never been so dang tired before. I have just been exhausted. And with the Holidays, and decorating, and shopping for presents, and traveling, and un-decorating, etc. I just haven't had a second to update my blogs. Also may I just admit, that we got the Wii for Christmas and that has also kept me from my computer updates.
So, as of tomorrow I am 14 weeks, woo hoo!!
December 29th we went to JG the midwife for our next appointment. This was to try and hear the heartbeat in her office with the doppler. (Which didn't happen last time remember) Last time, Janet asked if I had recently eaten lunch, and I said yep, a big bowl of Chili. Ha ha, apparently my chili might have been interfering with hearing the little heart beat of baby gruwell, which we saw on the ultrasound instead which was even better!!!
So back to this recent appointment, I decided not to eat at all in hopes of the ultimate listening experience, thus I wanted to throw up the entire day (Which happens lately when I don't eat often enough) So, Janet got out her little doppler and she heard the baby's heartbeat right away! yay! It wasn't hard to hear at all, and was very fast and cute. I don't know if a heartbeat can be really be cute, but believe me this was!! It was beating about 154bpm. Which is a little fast, but totally normal.
I still haven't gained any weight, who would've thought that would be my problem, ha ha! JG however still doesn't seem concerned at all and thinks I will soon start to catch right up.
So, things are good! I'm feeling sick still, tired as can be, and I've had a horrible cold that I can take no medicine for. (Apparently I took Xicam for granted!) But the baby is healthy and I am happy.
Ryan and I are so excited for the upcoming months and changes. I think it is becoming more real. We have another appointment in 4 weeks, which we will hear the heartbeat again and just the usual, and then 3 weeks after that, we get to have another ultrasound and find out if baby Gruwell is a boy or girl!!
I'm hoping to start feeling a little better soon and we are both going to tell our work places this week!
God, we thank you so much for the joy of impending parent hood. We are so excited for what you have in store for this little one and us. Thank You for all the blessings this New Year will bring us and the blessings you've already given us in 2008. And most of all, we praise you and trust you for continued protection of baby gruwell. And as always, thanks for grace, your wonderful amazing grace. Amen

I almost started crying when I read the part about hearing the heartbeat. What an amazing feeling!!! Just being able to hear the first sounds of your baby must truly be amazing.
