update!

to be fussy or not to be....
Norah has been doing so good lately. She has been awesome during the days. She is happy most of the time, learning so much each day, and getting better at going down for naps. She has also been better with other people holding her. Yay!!
to sleep or not to sleep...
Overall, I would say Norah's sleep is improving. We have a long way to go, but still improving. Last night however was AMAZING! She went to bed at 7 and slept until 5:30am - straight! Yippee! First time she has ever even came close to doing that. She did get shots yesterday and seems to sleep better when that happens, and my other mom friends also say their kids sleep better after shots. So, I'm not expecting her to sleep through the night tonight or soon. If she does, great, if not, fine, we will get there someday. For today, I'm enjoying feeling refreshed and having nearly 8 hours of sleep for the first time in 6 months.

the dairy and soy diaries...
Norah had her 6 month doctor appointment yesterday, and Dr. P and I talked alot about Norah's diet and my own. She is going to start eating 3 solid food meals a day along with nursing. We are probably going to try to nurse until at least a year. The main reason for this is because we don't have another milk option to give her. At about a year, we will try to give her another type of milk such as Coconut Milk, as long as we are giving her some fat in her solid food sources, because Coconut Milk doesn't have much fat in it and they definitely need it at that age. Eventually we will try Soy milk or cow's milk directly, but probably not until 18 months or so.

As far as my diet goes, I am going to try to have a bit of goat's milk (probably in the form of cheese!) which I am super excited about. Dr. P said that goat's milk is usually the easiest to digest of goat's milk, cow's milk or soy for the little ones, so that is the first thing we are going to try to add back into my diet. We might try some other things one by one, bit by bit if Norah keeps doing well. But, she's doing good for the first time ever so it isn't very tempting to add another variable in such as dairy or soy. I just want to enjoy a happy, healthy daughter for the time being.

Milestones...
As you probably saw on the last post, Norah has started pulling herself up to standing! She only does it at this point if we set her up perfectly, but she is definitely strong enough.

Still no crawling yet, but she does a lot of sitting.... then reaching....then rocking forward..... and then face planting.

She has started drinking out of a sippy cup, or at least attempting to drink out of a sippy cup.

Norah has really started baby talking a bunch more this past week. Some of her "stories" are so intense that she gets really loud and talks dramatically with her hands. It's amazing.

This is a new funny face she has started making.
She is learning to put her binky back in her mouth by herself!
hanging out with bailey.
She has sooooo many toys now she doesn't even know where to begin!
She really didn't want me to take this picture, she was trying to crawl on to my lap, and I kept putting her back down.....aaawww, look at that little bottom lip.

Heavenly Father...
Thank You for a full night of sleep. Thank You for protecting little Norah from the vaccines she received yesterday and using them to keep her well. Thank You for Dr. P and his knowledge of medicine and love of children. Thank You for your creation and how amazing our learning process and minds are. Thank You for all of the people in our lives that love our little girl and us. Thank You for your grace.

Please help us to raise Norah up knowing you, not just knowing about you, but truly knowing you. Help us to know what to teach her and how to pray for her. Please continue to bless our marriage so that Norah can grow up with loving parents that love each other. Amen
