Jackson Hole!!

Jackson Hole!

The last week of July we spent on a trip to Jackson Hole Wyoming for our dear friend Will's wedding. The 4 boys who've been friends for years now, and have all been in each other's weddings hadn't all been together for over 2 years. And I hadn't seen my good friend Lindsey (who happens to thankfully be married to Ryan's good friend Micah) in 2 years either, so it was QUITE THE REUNION! Most of them had not met Norah yet either, so that was a treat for us (and for them!)

It is an 8.5 hour drive so we decided to leave on Tuesday and stay overnight in Rock Springs Wyoming (this is about 5 hours away). The drive is pretty......pretty windy. Poor Norah got car sick and threw up all over herself 3 or 4 times. She was soaking wet, the car reeked, and it was a stressful ride! But alas, we finally arrived in Rock Springs, and settled in for the night. Norah slept fairly well. We had a nice breakfast, swam in the pool in the morning and headed off for Jackson. This 3.5 hour drive went better than the day before for sure. We were so thankful that we had thought to bring her movies and the laptop, VeggieTales and Praise Baby saved us numerous times!

We arrived in Jackson around 6pm and got checked into our Condo. At the last minute, we decided to cancel our hotel reservations and get a condo with our 4 other friends. This was a bit stressful at first, figuring out details, rooms, etc. But it was sooooo worth it. The view was so AMAZING. And having a whole house for us all was so much more fun to hang out with everyone than a hotel would've been. We sat out on our back deck, enjoying the fresh air and the Grand Tetons for hours and hours. Norah also loved running around in our little back yard, and climbing up and down the stairs! Yes I said down.....she had mastered going up quite some time ago, but finally got the hang of going down a bit!
The incredible view in our condo backyard...and the incredible little girl in her shades!

We spent the next day at Jenny Lake. It's a gorgeous lake with views of the Tetons for days. We put Norah in a hiking backpack that we borrowed from our friends (thanks Scripps!!) and we hiked 2 miles to the other side of the lake and then took the ferry back across. Norah did great! Then we had a picnic on a grassy hill and Norah loved watching the birds fly around, she can spot them better than we can!
Picnic after a long hike.
We pulled over because we saw this moose!
Me and my cute hubby.
Norah pointing...weird she never does that.

The next day we went in to town and walked around the square. Jackson is sooo busy this time of year. Seriously the most packed I've ever seen a small town. Tons of cool shops and neat restaurants! That night we had the rehearsal dinner for the wedding at the bride (Chelsey)'s parents house. There were a bunch of kids under 6 and Norah thought it was Christmas all over again. So many kids and toys, it was Norah's heaven.

Norah was a smiling, sweet, funny girl the whole time. We think we might have even moved up our friends baby making time table because of how great she was. She was waving, winking, smiling, and running around nearly all the time. So proud of our little punkaroo!

The next day, Saturday, was the wedding. It was at Jackson Lake Lodge, one of the most incredible views in Jackson! What a beautiful ceremony, it was so perfect!

Smelling the beautiful wedding flowers.

We had such a great time and are so thankful for getting to see our beautiful friends in such a beautiful place!!
