Evy Girl - You are 6 months!! Wow that flew by!
At 6 months you...
...Are sooooo smiley... You are quick to give a way a great big dimple filled, wrinkly nosed smile most of the time. Especially to Norah, Daddy and Mama!
...Have slowed down a bit as far as growing goes, but your legs just didn't get the memo. You have some "strong"legs ;) You are 15.5 lbs, right at 45%, and 26" for height, right at 55%...
...are still nicknamed Evy. Been called Evelynn maybe 20 times in your life. Also adoringly called, Evy Girl, My Evy (by Norah), Ev, Evaroo, Sweet Pea, and #2. ;)
...Put EVERYTHING into your mouth; toys, your hands, your feet, friend's hands, norah's hands, my hair, and on and on. Still keep thinking a tooth is going to pop through any day, but not yet!
...have tried sweet potatoes & avocados. weren't too sure about either of them at first, but are loving sweet potatoes now. I think bananas or fresh sweet peas are next...
...are sitting up! a bit wobbly still, but can definitely do it on your own...unless you get a bit too into chewing on a toy and throw your head back in joy...then you tip over!
...love to giggle. Norah makes you laugh the most. She can just look at you and smile and you'll laugh at her. But if Norah is laughing, that's when it's a given! You also love anything silly that Daddy does and mama's tickles.
..speaking of giggling and tickling. You are so ticklish...The most ticklish kid ever. You even giggled today when I pulled off your bandaids from your shots. yep. so cute.
...are not in to moving yet....not only not crawling, but not moving, you can roll (but prefer not to) Probably because you spend <1 min/day on your tummy. You simply hate being on your tummy (unless it's on my tummy, then it's not quite as horrible to you). But we had a chat with the doc today about it, and he didn't seem concerned....so neither are we!
...still have the craziest hair ever. We get more comments on this than anything! You have a regular amount everywhere except for the front, where you have your Justin Beiber rhino horn wave.... We love it, and I've considered trimming it, but it's your trademark....for now.
...think the bumbo is for little babies...with tiny legs, and not cloth diapers.....ie. babies other than you. For some reason, you just look and seem uncomfortable in there. So, you hang out sitting on the floor or the couch with us, in your high chair, or in your jumper, or the bjorn (which lately you've especially taken to while Daddy is wearing)
...seem to be doing better health wise..no more rsv, reflux under control, not sleep deprived. we are visiting the chiropractor every week still. and you smile at Dr. Roman the whole time.....
...are still sleeping like a champion. Typical bedtime around 7 (if we can make you keep your eyes open until then) and then sometimes wake up one time in the night, (but with a quick pop in from mommy reminding you it's still night night you're back to sleep) and then are up for the day not a minute past 6am. (usually around 5:45) Mommy is SO THANKFUL....and slightly behind on the news of the world now that I am not up reading on my phone all night long ;)
We love you more than ever Ev and couldn't imagine our lives with out you and your bright eyes and bright smile.

I love how her even her eyes smile! She seems like a happy little baby. Those 2nd babies are precious to watch when they are in the presence of their big siblings. It's such a unique bond, isn't it? Also, so glad to hear that she's doing better with her reflux and sleeping!
