to be fussy or not to be....
Norah has had a couple of really good days. I'm still having trouble giving her the Prevacid. But, the amount that she is getting seems to be helping.
to sleep or not to sleep....
So, my last post I set some sleep goals. Um...I achieved none of them. She was super fussy that night, I was tired, and I didn't want to mess with trying to set her down awake and didn't feel like I had the energy to follow through if she didn't fall asleep easily. So, I simply didn't try; I nursed her right to sleep. And yes, she's still been waking up at least twice, usually 3 or 4 times/night. I usually nurse her only once, but if I feel like it's going to be a 2 hour fight, I just nurse her and put her back down. Is this helping..........no. I'm hurting myself - I'm the one waking up a gazillion times - however, I just haven't had the energy at night. On a positive note, napping has been improving. Not so much the length (although yesterday she had a 45 minute nap, an hour nap, and a 50 minute nap that I'm sure would have went longer, but I woke her up because it was getting too late in the day) but the way she goes down. I haven't been rocking or nursing her to sleep for naps much at all. Never the morning nap, and usually not the afternoon naps either. I have been rocking her a bit until she gets sleepy, and then I set her down awake, sing a couple of songs (usually worship songs, but right now Christmas songs! - apparently babies don't care that my voice is ridiculously bad), then she fusses a bit and falls to sleep. Yay!!!
Christmas....
Can't wait. I'm having a hard time not buying her everything on the shelves....so because of that, I haven't bought her a single thing. I simply can't decide. None of the things I see are special enough for her first Christmas. :)
My famous husband....
Nothing to do with Norah, but I'm assuming you all still love Ryan and I too, so I thought I'd share 2 stories with you. First, my dad works with a lady that has a middle school aged daughter, when she found out that "Ryan Griz" was my dad's son in law, she flipped with excitement. She wants Ryan's autograph for Christmas. So, he is getting her a Magic 93.1 t shirt and signing it for her. Ha Ha. Second, remember David Archuleta from American Idol two seasons ago, he was in town for a concert this weekend, so Ryan got to interview him yesterday. Yes, he is just now 18, and only slightly famous, but I still think it was cool. :)
Norah with her Aunt Janae. Who also by the way, just met a former American Idol, the super cute and amaaaazzing Jason Castro. Yay again.
The new method of wearing Norah in the peanut shell. I haven't perfected this yet, I'm nervous about her squirming out of it this way, but working on it!
