MMMMM...sweet potatoes..

solid foods....
We tried giving Norah sweet potatoes for about a week. And this week we are giving her carrots! She seems to like the carrots more, but she might just be getting the hang of eating. She LOVES to hold the spoon herself. She also is very good about opening her mouth super wide when I get close with the spoon. My mom & dad pointed out that I open my mouth really big when she does too...ha ha. She is messy, but watching her eat is worth the clean up for sure!

to sleep or not to sleep...
If you would have asked me yesterday how sleep was going I would have said better. DON'T ASK THIS MORNING.

to be fussy or not to be...
It seems like Norah has been getting fussier again the past few days. It seems like she always improves, and then slowly digresses a few days later. I think I'm going to call Dr. P this am to run a few things by him.

We have still been giving her 1/2 a 15mg Prevacid tablet per day. I have changed how I give it to her because dissolving it in water simply wasn't working. It either got stuck in the dropper or syringe - or ran out her mouth and all over her shirt. I would then spend the next few hours picking little specks of it off of Norah. So I've been cutting the 1/2 into 1/2 and then just putting it inside her cheek and allowing it to dissolve in her mouth. This has worked much better!

date nights..
On a positive note, Ryan and I got to go out without Norah twice last week. Friday we went to our good friends the Scripps' Christmas party and Saturday night we went to Ryan's work party. Both times my mom watched Norah...or shall I say sat in our living room while Norah slept in her crib! Friday Norah woke up once around 11 and my mom was able to get her right back to sleep, but had to keep holding her, I'm sure she didn't mind! Saturday night she didn't even wake up until after we were back home. Yay!

milestones...
rolling, rolling, rolling. Norah has really perfected her rolling! She rolls fast from back to tummy, then tummy to back, and over and over. She usually always goes the same way, but man she is getting fast. No more leaving her on the floor and running to get coffee for me!

sitting up. Norah is sitting up on her own really pretty good now. She is a bit wobbly, but gets better each day! She really enjoys sitting up, I think she feels more involved and in control....and she is a control freak already...hmm wonder where she got that habit from?

Heavenly Father...Thank You for Norah. Thank you for her spirit, her eagerness to learn, her curiosity. Thank You for the joy she brings us. Thank you for reminding me that this precious time flies by when I am struggling at 3am. Thank you for your blessings and Ryan's hard work that allow me to stay home and raise our daughter. I love you. Amen.
