Well, we have had quite the week at our house! Little Norah is becoming so much more mobile....and awnry! This week alone she broke a wine bottle, tipped over a bar stool, put a bunch of her toys out the dog door, pulled a cord out of a surround sound speaker & learned to drop her spoon so that Bailey would get it. As I wrote that I realized it sounds like I'm not a very attentive parent, and I'm not doing a good job of baby proofing. I promise that's not it! I think the only true baby proofing would be a giant padded room, but then I'm sure Norah would figure out how to eat the padding.
She is hysterical and so fun though. Even amidst the trouble, I enjoy myself. It's so fun to watch her learn. When she was dropping her spoon this week, she would hold it over the side of the highchair and then get this little grin, and wait a few seconds to see if I would respond, then drop it and smirk.
She is also taking more steps. I wouldn't call it walking quite yet. But she often lets go and takes a couple of steps to get to someone or something. And yesterday took about 10 little ones in a row without holding on at all. She is also learning to regain her balance...after a couple of steps she will slow down and put out her arms likes she is on a tightrope and wait a second before trying for more!
We couldn't be more grateful for a happy healthy beautiful baby girl. We are so blessed. Thank You Lord.
