A trip for two.

This past Friday night Ryan and I finally decided to take a trip just the 2 of us to Ridgway Friday night and to snowboard in Telluride Saturday. My parents were willing and excited for the experience challenge! I spent all week praying and writing my parents a short 3 page note about Norah's quirks and habits and schedule.

My Dad took the 2nd 1/2 of Friday off so we could get on the road at a decent time. We packed all of our snowboarding gear, swimsuits for a relaxing hot tub, and my courage to leave Norah. We had a great time and checked in on Norah only a few times. She did great! I'm glad my parents agreed to stay at our house so at least Norah had the familiarity of her own crib, room, etc. She had a super fun day laughing at Papa pushing her around on her car, and laughing at Grammy with a toy in her (my mom's, not norah's) mouth. I also hear Norah went to the park and went on the swings, and watched some ducks. She went to bed around 6:45 and slept all the way through (with a couple of talking in her sleep moments) to 6:30am! I'm so thankful that we were able to get away for a night, and that we felt comfortable enough with my parents watching her that we could go and relax. And I'm so proud of our little girl for doing so well!

Norah playing on her car with papa....obviously missing me.
More car time.

Flying around!
This was the fireplace in our suite in Ridgway...so nice!
Our own private hot tub on our deck overlooking the San Juans, what a treat!
Sneaking a kiss on the gondola at Telluride Resort.
Gondola Riding.
Up on the mountain. This was my 3rd time boarding this season. I'm improving slowly but surely. I will say I was a bit freaked out this trip because the first run we decided to take was full of moguls...um not exactly ready for that yet!
View at our room at the Chipeta Sun Lodge.
On our way to dinner in Ridgway Friday night.

All in all, a great trip. Thanks Mom and Dad! We really appreciate it!
