We spent the night before Halloween at our friends house to carve pumpkins and let the kiddos dress up and play. Norah had a blast, and Ev thought the whole thing was a bore, and was sleepy most of the time..:)
playing the piano with alaina....she is still talking about this!
my friend meg and her sweet baby girl natalie.
norah wasn't afraid to dig into the gooey pumpkin!

the whole crew...minus Ryan - sweet hubby was working a wedding :( - so ready for wedding season to end.....thankful to be busy, but done being a single parent on the weekends and miss my man.

HALLOWEEN

Norah's costume was "Margalo" - who is that you ask?  Don't worry you are not the first. Margalo is a fairy from Strawberry Shortcake. Norah's outfit looks nothing like Margalo, but we just got this adorable wing and tutu set from Uncle Brady and Aunt Alexis, and it looked like a fairy to me. I kept trying to convince her she was a butterfly and bought her these really cute little antennas, she insisted she was Margalo. And yes she told everyone that, and no one, not one person, knew who the heck Margalo was.  Evelynn was a very homemade version of a caterpillar (hence me pushing for Nor to be a butterfly). They were both absolutely adorable!
This was our first trick or treating stop - Grammy and Papa's House.
Ev fell asleep as she was posing!

Going to my parents neighbor's house for the first real "Trick or Treat" experience.
Next we stopped at GG and aunt Barb's house.

After that, we headed to Chipotle, because my deal loving hubby heard that if you were an "agricultural costume" you got $2 burritos. And we figured a butterfly and caterpillar might be considered agricultural. So score for $2 burritos and not to mention Chipotle is one of the places I can eat at these days, because they use no Dairy and Soy (except for the cheese and sourcream).

We ended the night hitting up a few of our neighborhood friends, and then went home. I was shocked that Norah went right to bed after she ate more candy in a couple of hours than she has in her whole life!  She especially loved the chocolate candy....of course she did, it's the messiest!  The funniest part was how frustrated Norah became when we had to put the candy in her bag instead of eating it!

A great Halloween it was!
