We have obviously been busy, as my last post was also a monthly post for little Ev. So I will try and post a whole fam post soon. But as for today...I cannot believe it, but our little Ev is already 8 months (and a week;)
Evy at 8 months you...
...have pulled up by yourself a few times now! You favorite spot is by our ottoman toybox in the family room, the same place your big sister learned to pull up as well. Perfect height for you. And you are always so excited when we set you in front of it to try! You love to stand! You are a bit wobbly, but enjoy every minute of the wobble.
...still have no teeth, which I am fine with! we are still nursing, although, it's definitely coming to a sad close :(. I'm going to hold on as long as I can, I'm taking Mother's Milk droplets from Vitamin cottage to try and increase my milk supply (along with my docs recommendation of some dark beer ;), drinking a ton of water, and eating more calories, but there just doesn't seem to be enough milk for ya...
...you are so happy. and sooooo smiley. you truly are the smiliest little thing I've ever seen. It's rare to not get a smile from you.
...are the apple of Norah's eye. She constantly talks about all of the things she's going to teach you when you get bigger. You two are going to have so much fun.
...are starting to say more consonant sounds, the other day Norah said, mom!!! evy said mama!! , it did sound like mama, but I don't think I can take credit for the first word quite yet ;)
...are still sleeping great. 7pm - 5:45am is fairly average. (With 2-3 naps/day, for a total of 3 hours of napping)
...are trying desperately to get on to your hands and knees without having to start on your tummy....still absolutely hate your tummy, thus no where near crawling. but you have the cutest little heiny rock back and forth I've ever seen!
...love to eat solids now. i think homemade carrots are your favorite, you are a bit picky, because you like the ones mama makes much more than store bought. you also love rice cracker mum mums and puffies.
...still ride around in the bjorn a few times a week, you especially love it if we are at the grocery store or target so you can stare at your big sis in the cart. you also get to ride in this if mama needs to crank out some work things at home!
...still love to taste the world. You truly put everything in your mouth....toys, your sisters feet, mamas hair, and on and on. you may be a taste tester someday....and the faces you make when you taste are hilarious.
...have a new nickname, given to you by your sister. bayba. "oooh look at my little bayba, she's so cute" says norah. (at least 8 times/day ;)
...we absolutely adore you. you are the perfect little addition to our family and your first 8 months have flown by way too quickly. we love you baby girl.
